ARTWORKS
This is a gallery of all of my animal based artworks, my main materials are drawings, acrylic paintings and oil paintings. Looking through each section can help you to choose which material is best for the artwork as each one has a different purpose and appearance when completed. Drawings have the lowest price point, acrylic paintings are mid and oil paintings are highest. The artworks displayed below have a description with the size and material, the bigger the artwork the more detail can be added.
DRAWINGS
Graphite pencils drawings on paper, drawn in black and white with optional coloured pencil eyes. Alternatively, drawing with a biro pen has a higher contrast appearance as the ink is black and the darkest tone of the pencil drawings is a dark grey. These sketches allow for more precise detail and accuracy within the artwork. Made to be framed when displayed, this can be arranged to be delivered in a frame bought by us and paid by you to protect the artwork or in a simple envelope as these drawings are fragile compared to a canvas. Drawings are the lowest price of my artworks as they are quicker to create and the materials aren’t as expensive.
ACRYLIC PAINTINGS
Acrylic paint artworks on canvas or canvas boards, this material harnesses bolder paint strokes and more vibrant colours. Acrylic paintings are more eye catching and have a contemporary appearance compared to traditional oil paintings. These artworks can be displayed on their own on a canvas, they look great as they stick out of the wall with the sides painted too. The canvas boards are made to be put in a frame when displayed, it can also be arranged for us to send the artwork in a frame payed by you. Acrylic paintings are the mid price point for my artworks as this material is fast drying and cheaper than oil paints, but a higher price than a drawing as the layers take a lot of time to build up and ensure that the colours are as accurate as possible. Canvas boards are cheaper than 3D canvases therefore the price is lowered.
Oil paintings
Oil paint artworks on canvas or canvas boards, this traditional painting method allows for a more blended appearance. The layers take longer to dry, but have an impressive result when complete. These are ideal for painting realism where the colours and blended layers create a life-like image. Oil paintings have the highest price point as the paints are more expensive and I use high-end materials, the layers take days and sometimes months for the painting to dry fully. With delivery of these, I would prefer to collect or deliver personally if the painting is wanted as soon as it’s complete as it will still be partially wet and it’s not ideal to have anything touch it or be framed yet. Can be painted on a canvas or canvas boards which are flat and a cheaper surface to work on therefore the price is lowered.
